I have had to resort to using disposible nappies at night due to the week of rain and cold weather. I hate the idea of using them but when your down to just a few dry nappies which are the ones that go to day care (due to their ease of use for the young girls who have never seen a non-enviromentally damaging nappy before) you have to bite the bullet and use the horrid things. I do need to get a few more MCN's but with little money in my pocket now and it being so close to him being toilet trained I can't justify spending the money. So I spent a few dollars on a small pack of yucko nappies.
Anyway with the rain my vegie patches are like jungles at the moment. Vegies are on fire but so too are the weeds. I get in and pull a bucket full each day and chuck them into the chook pen which has become a muddy area.
A month ago not too much was going on in the garden the flower pods for the passion fruit had started to appear. There are far too many to count now. Looks like passionfruit curd a plenty will be made if this weather goeas back to summer so the fruit can rippen.
A month ago this flower was like this
Now it is this
There are three different passionfruit vines in the yard. One is about three years old now which is the one in the photos above. The others were planted last year and one is growing very well the other needs attending to as I need to get in and direct it over some frame work as it now is all over the place. The good onehas a lot of flowers on it which look like this.........
This is what it looked like 6 weeks ago......
My raspberry vine has taken over an entire area. I'm loving going and eating raspberries fresh of the vine. Ever so sweet and yummy.
