The quilt I made for EBDQS2

Ingrid has opened the quilt I made for her little girl Elizabeth so I can show you all some pics of it myself now.
When I first bought the fabrics I was pretty pleased with them and it was easy from there to figure out what type of piecing I would do. Once I did all the piecing and stitched together the top I didn't particualrly like it anymore. In fact I hated it and was ready to start over. However I kept going and thought that it was not for me and I had put together the colours as per requested.
Once I started the quilting part I realised it all actually did work well it just needed a little boost. This also gave me the oportunity to use some of the decorative stitches on my machine.

Once complete I actually was very happy with it, still not my idea of colour combination but the quilt is much batter than what I first thought it was going to be. This is only my third quilting project.
I also decided to personalise the label for Elizabeth as well.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. First glance it seems random until you stop and really look and realise it's not. Does that make any sense!!?? Anyway, it's lovely, well done!
